Need ways to stay “Cool for the summer?” Look no further; we’ve got all the hottest Central Park events that’ll definitely help you stay cool.

Get Fit in Central Park

If you want something a little more active, there are tons of fitness classes happening all over Central Park this summer. Whether you want to get sweaty with a boot camp, dance class, or try out something more exotic, like a hula hooping class, there’s something to suit everyone’s fitness needs.

Get Zen with Upicnic

That’s right, you heard this correctly. We’re hosting a yoga event in Central Park on Sunday, July 24th. We’ll all meet up at 8.30am and head over to one of our favorite secret spots in the park. There’s a $25 fee, which includes admission to the class, accompanying live relaxing music, plus Spring Water and All Beauty Water. Spots are limited, so sign up fast.

Want to namaste at Central Park all day? Upicnic will be happy to provide you with lots of fun lawn games, sports gear, and food for after our event. Find out more details on our Facebook event here. Can’t wait to see y’all there!

Grab a friend or a book and row, row, row your boat.

Thankfully, Central Park was #blessed with some great bodies of water. Head over to The Lake, located on Central Park East between 74th and 75th Street, and rent a rowboat or gondola from the Loeb Boathouse. Want to make it a date night? Head over to the restaurant with the same name for some fine dining afterwards.

Get back to basics

If you would rather stay planted onshore, check out the Conservatory Water in Central Park. Located on Central Park East between 72nd and 75th street, this area is most famously known from the famous boat scene in Stuart Little. Bring your own model boat (and a pet mouse too if you wish) and let it set sail on this pond. We’d be happy to provide you with a tasty picnic meal for afterwards.

Visit your favorite animals at the Central Park Zoo

Probably the most well known option from this list is the Central Park Zoo. What’s a better way to chill out than walking around and looking at animals?! You can enter the zoo on Fifth Avenue between 64th and 65th street, and there’s so much for you and your family to do. From feeding the penguins and sea lions to watching a movie in 4-D, this will definitely be an experience to remember. Pro tip: Save 10% by purchasing your tickets online.
